Workshops (3hrs. to 3 full days)


The Centre began with 3-hour to 2-day programmes in the form of Workshops. Over the years the Centre has conducted innumerable workshops on varied themes, with age groups ranging from 4 years to senior citizens, group profile varying from students to professionals, parents, corporate sector, government officials, educators, diplomats. The group size too has ranged from 12 persons to 60 persons. However, in general, a small group of 15-25 persons is preferred to retain individual focus and interactive and participatory mode.

 

The central thread running through the Workshops is Growth of Consciousness and therefore, the Workshops emphasise reflection and experiential activities, as well as practical tools for application in daily life. Each workshop aims at initiating an actual shift in the participant's perspective and practice.

Talks (1-2 hrs.)


In 1997, the Gnostic Centre organised a few talks in Delhi University colleges, to introduce to them concepts related to Indian Culture and Spirituality. Encouraged by the positive response this endeavour developed into a full-scale series - In Search of the Soul of India Talk Series.

 

The Centre has organised Talks in Delhi and NCR colleges and schools, teacher-education and professional education institutes, as well as in a few other cities, and at Sri Aurobindo centres abroad.

 

The audience has comprised of senior school / undergrad / postgrad students, research scholars, school and college teaching faculty / principals, teacher-educators, management faculty, engineering students, disciples of Integral Yoga.

 

The Talks provide a preliminary introduction to a particular idea or a topic.

Multimedia Presentations


These presentations combine the screening of a multimedia (developed by The Gnostic Centre) and discussion, along with some conceptual inputs and reflective activities. They serve as an introduction to issues related with self-development, education, social change, inviting the participant to a deeper engagement.
