ICIS Pedagogy

|
The International Centre for
Integral Studies (ICIS) is based on the educational philosophy and
Integral Yoga psychology of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.
What distinguishes us
•
Development & Growth of Consciousness
Each course delves into areas normally considered outside the
mainstream. The courses are built around a core of subjective knowledge,
presented with an academic rigour.
• Conscious Learning
The facilitator helps the students actualize their inner aspirations and
effectuate these through a self-paced learning process. The students are
encouraged to identify their learning needs and aims, and develop:
• Conceptual clarity,
• Coherence and originality of thinking,
• Self-reflection leading to application in life,
• Power of expression,
• Wideness of scholarship, and
• Ability to synthesise diverse ideas.
• Flexibility & Reach of Knowledge
Using leading edge technology, ICIS offers the unique opportunity to cut
across the constraints of time, space and circumstances, and achieve
self-knowledge and growth.
• Faculty
Our faculty are leading authorities in their own fields of study and
research, creative and student-oriented, and themselves engaged in the
practices leading to growth of consciousness.
• Evaluation
ICIS views assessment not only as a measure of present learning, but as
a tool for further learning. Therefore, the student is encouraged to
carry out self-assessment through various modes, in collaboration with
the facilitator.
